Summary

Gem Catch is a single-player arcade game that can be played offline. The launch version is supported by advertising.

  • We do not directly collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information.
  • Gem Catch does not require an account or sign-in.
  • Your selected age band, high scores, settings, and game progress are stored locally on your device.
  • Users select either Under 16 or 16+ so the game can apply the appropriate privacy and advertising flow.
  • Google AdMob may process device and advertising data when ads are enabled.
  • The launch version does not offer Remove Ads, Restore Purchases, or another in-app purchase.
  • We do not sell personal data for money. Some laws may define personalized advertising as "sharing"; eligible users can opt out through the privacy choices presented in the game.

Advertising

Gem Catch uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may process information such as your IP address, device information, advertising identifiers where permitted, and ad interaction data to serve, secure, and measure ads.

If you select Under 16, Gem Catch applies child-restricted ad treatment and requests non-personalized, age-appropriate ads. Advertising identifiers are not requested for personalized advertising in this experience. Selecting 16+ uses the consent and tracking flow applicable to your platform and region.

Google's handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising technology policies.

Consent, privacy choices, and tracking

For users who select 16+, Gem Catch uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) where required to present consent notices and privacy choices for advertising. Where available, you can revisit those choices from the game's privacy settings.

On iOS, eligible 16+ users may also see Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt before the game requests permission to access the device's advertising identifier or track activity across other companies' apps and websites. If you decline, Gem Catch does not receive permission to use Apple's advertising identifier for tracking. Under 16 users are not shown the ATT prompt.

Information stored on your device

Gem Catch uses Unity PlayerPrefs, backed by the platform's local storage, to save:

  • Your selected age band: Under 16 or 16+.
  • Your high score.
  • Your daily-challenge progress and current daily best score.
  • Audio preferences and other gameplay settings.

Separately, Google's UMP SDK stores consent and privacy-choice state in the platform app storage it manages. Gem Catch does not store that UMP state in Unity PlayerPrefs.

This locally stored information remains on your device. You can clear it by uninstalling Gem Catch or clearing the app's data in your device settings. Clearing app data may cause the game to ask for your age band and privacy choices again.

Permissions

Gem Catch requests only the permissions required by the Unity engine and Google AdMob, such as internet access for ads. On iOS, the game may request tracking permission through ATT for eligible 16+ users. The game does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, photos, or general file storage.

If a future update needs a new permission, this policy will be updated and the game will request permission at runtime where required.

Age selection and children's privacy

Gem Catch is intended for a mixed audience. Before advertising is initialized, the game asks the user to select an age band: Under 16 or 16+. Gem Catch stores only the selected age band locally; it does not ask for or store a birth date. The selection is used to choose the appropriate advertising, consent, and tracking flow.

For users who select Under 16, the game configures advertising for child-restricted treatment, requests non-personalized ads, does not show the iOS ATT prompt, and does not use the 16+ UMP consent flow. We do not knowingly ask children to provide a name, email address, account, precise location, or other direct personal information.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information can contact us using the address below.

Crash and diagnostic data

Google Play and the Android operating system may automatically collect crash reports and basic device information when an app crashes. This information is collected by Google and governed by Google's privacy policy. Gem Catch does not enable Unity Cloud Diagnostics or another third-party crash-reporting service in the current documented configuration.
